Ever Heard of Hooping?

So, remember how easy hula hooping was when you were a kid?  I never remember it being difficult... but after trying more recently I realized that it was much harder than it looked.

While at school here we found a hula hoop in the closet and we decided to pull it out and play one day and sure enough, we were all having a hard time.  Frustrated, one of the other students found out about a local class that teaches hoop dance!  So the two of us ventured out on Saturday to try it out.

We went for an hour and proceeded to learn how to walk forwards and backwards, spin in a circle AND bring the hoop from above the head to our hips and back up.  It was amazing how much easier it is with a heavier, bigger, nicer hoop!  Here is a little video of what that entails :)

Please ignore the beginning and end. it took me a long time to get it on my stupid computer. I took it on my phone and it wouldn't let me send it to anyone. So, in the end i just decided to video it on my webcam. XD I'll switch it up for a better one later :)

So go hoop it up :)

Welcome to my life XD

Hello there readers :)

My name is Megan and the things I love in life include being outside and going on adventures, especially with a camera in tow!

This blog is for me to share some of my stories, embarrasing, true and funny, and pictures that I take while on my adventures.

I'm currently enrolled in rolfing school in Boulder Colorado :)

My trip here was... not simple to say the least.  My first flight to Chicago went off without a hitch. My second flight into Denver should have been simple as well.  However, there were storms in Denver and the wind was coming in 30 knot gusts, so we were not allowed to land.  We were routed to Colorado Springs but somehow we ended up in Wichita. Yeah, Kansas.  hahaha so I ended up landing in Denver two and a half hours late.  Caught my SuperShuttle and then headed out to get to my house.  We couldn't find it when we got here and circled the neighborhood for like ten minutes. So basically, everything was difficult, but eventually I made it to the correct place :)

So now I'm sittin here trying to figure out the best thing for me to do to keep my mind busy :) More when I have some fun adventures to share :)

Cheers!
